Nikita Johnson to Make European Debut in the GB3 Championship for 2024

Infinity Sports Management is pleased to announce Nikita Johnson’s 2024 plans to compete in the GB3 Championship with VRD Racing by Arden.

Born in St Petersburg, Florida, 15-year-old Nikita Johnson has proved he’s one to watch, making significant moves in his racing career as 2023 USF2000 Vice-Champion.

In addition to the USF2000 Championship, Johnson challenged the USF Pro 2000 Championship over four races - all of which he podiumed in and two of which he won. Nikita’s first win in the series, at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, made him the youngest race winner in the championship’s history, with a 17-second lead.

For 2024, Johnson will return to the USF Pro 2000 Championship and tackle the GB3 field in races across the UK and Europe.

Nikita expressed enthusiasm for his upcoming European and American campaign: “I look forward to racing with VRD and Arden in the GB3 Championship which provides the opportunity to compete on four Formula One tracks at Spa, Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Hungaroring.

“Although the GB3 and USF Pro 2000 cars are very similar, the schedule is very demanding because both series have me racing on different continents every week. But, that’s okay as I like to push myself. I would like to thank my family, Dan, VRD and Arden for their unwavering support.”

Gary Catt, of Infinity Sports Management, commented: “We are thrilled to be working with Nikita. Following his achievements in the States, we look forward to seeing how he develops and performs in a new challenge in the UK and Europe.”

Johnson’s season will commence on March 8th in his hometown of St. Pete’s before the USF Pro 2000 series visits New Orleans, Indianapolis, Elkhart Lake, Lexington, Toronto, and Portland in its 8-round calendar including six states and a penultimate round in Canada.

Simultaneously, the youngster will jump in the VRD Racing prepared GB3 car for round 3 in June, once he is 16, debuting at Spa-Francorchamps. The remaining calendar will see Johnson visit Hungaroring, Zandvoort, Silverstone, Donington Park, and Brands Hatch.
