Logan Sargeant to join Carlin Buzz Racing for 2019 FIA Formula 3

Infinity Sports Management are delighted to announce that Logan Sargeant is to join Carlin Buzz Racing’s FIA Formula Three lineup for the upcoming 2019 season.

Rejoining the Surrey based team following a race-winning rookie season together in the 2017 British F4 championship. Prior to this he was crowned Formula 4 UAE vice champion, in only his first season racing in single seaters.

Moving in to the highly competitive Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 Championship for the 2018 season, he continued his race winning ways and took three victories as well as two pole positions and seven podiums. His consistent strong form on track ensured that he sat fourth overall as the season concluded.

Completing the team’s line-up, Logan will be joined alongside Teppei Natori and Felipe Drugovich as they take on the 2019 season in the inaugural FIA Formula Three Championship, as part of the F1 support calendar. The car, complete with the new addition of the FIA mandatory halo, will be on track for the first official test in Paul Ricard on the 20th March.

Commenting on this latest development in his career Logan said:

“I am super happy to be joining Carlin for the 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship. We’ve had great success together in the past in F4 and I can’t wait to be back with them. I have high expectations and I know if we continue to work together well as a team we can bring this form over to Formula 3.
We definitely have the potential to be right at the front so I have no doubt that we can fight for the championship.”

Team Principal Trevor Carlin added:

“It is fantastic to welcome Logan back to Carlin for the upcoming 2019 season. We last worked together in 2017 in the British Formula 4 Championship, so we know him well and know how great he is to work with. Logan has matured so much in and out of the car since we last worked with him and I’m really excited to see what he can do this season with all of us here at Carlin Buzz Racing.”

Infinity Sports Management Director Gary Catt echoed:

“We are looking forward to the 2019 season with Logan. Logan had a solid rookie season in Formula Renault last year and I’m sure he can do the same this year in FIA Formula 3. Carlin are a great team and have a lot of experience and we are sure this will benefit Logan this year with the new FIA F3 car being introduced”
