Infinity Karter’s Podium Success Continues in Italy

In a weekend of thrilling karting, the Infinity drivers celebrated some incredible podiums and performances in Round 1 as the WSK Euro Series visited the Italian track, Lonato .

Dominating from the first to the last lap, Kean Nakamura-Berta further proved his talent taking a clean sweep with the overall win and fastest laps in both pre-final and final propelling himself to the top of the OK-Senior championship standings.

Meanwhile in OKJ, William Go made history becoming the first ever Filipino driver to achieve a WSK podium, securing P3 out of 70 drivers. After qualifying overall in P25, Go started each heats from P9 securing consistent results throughout all 5 heat. Starting the final from P7 William successfully chased down the front runners to be rewarded with his first WSK podium of the year.

Once again demonstrating his strong pace, Douwe Dedecker gained many positions during the heats but unfortunately lost time in the first lap of the finals which hindered his progress.

Commenting on another successful weekend for the Karters, Director of Infinity Sports Management, Gary Catt commented:

“It was another good weekend for our Karters, Douwe continues to improve since his move into the senior category. His speed is strong and I'm sure he will be fighting for podiums very soon. Kean continues to impress and he had a great final day in Lonato. In the final he didn’t make any mistakes and took a dominant win. William Go secured a great result in OKJ. His podium at the weekend is a great reward for him and the team around him for all the hard work they’ve put in this season.”
