Infinity Driver, Logan Sargeant confirmed to drive in Abu Dhabi end of season test with Williams

Logan Sargeant who was recently announced as Williams Driver Academy’s latest member will be getting behind the wheel of the FW43B at the end of season Test in Abu Dhabi.

The post season test will take place at Yas Marina on 14th December and will be Logan’s first taste of the F1 Machinery. The test gives Sargeant an incredible opportunity to fully understand how Williams operate Trackside and capitalise on his talent which he has proven through his motorsport career.

Over the past two months, since Logan was announced as part of the Academy, the 20-year-old American has been immersed with the team and regularly spends time in Grove on the simulator to aid with car development. The FW43B Test will give Sargeant a greater understanding and allow him to utilise his simulator experience and support his continuous development work.

Logan has continued to demonstrate his talent in the FIA F3 Championship securing multiple podiums and victories throughout his career and narrowly missing out on the 2020 title. The American’s plans for 2022 will be announced in due course.

Speaking about the announcement Logan Sargeant said,
“I can’t wait for my first run in a Formula One car and want to thank the team for trusting me with this amazing opportunity. I’ve been spending time in the factory at Grove and getting to grips with the simulator, which has helped me get an initial feel for the characteristics of the FW43B, but to be able to get out on track will be an incredible experience and one that I won’t forget. I’ll be going into the test looking to perform the best I can and to learn as much as possible from the team.”
Infinity’s Sports Management’s, Gary Catt added:
“We’ve watched Logan grow and develop from a really young age. Even from his days in karting, winning the World Junior Karting Championship, for him to get a chance to drive an F1 car was just a dream. Now this dream has turned into a reality and we are really happy and couldn’t be prouder of him."
