British Driver Ed Jones joins Infinity Sports Management

Infinity Sports Management are proud to announce that Ed Jones is the latest driver to join their roster of talented drivers ahead of his 2022 season.

The 26 year old has an impressive accolade of achievements from karting through to his crowning achievement of a third place finish at the 2017 Indianapolis 500, the highest finishing rookie in the field. 

The Emirati-born British driver began his career in karting, hitting the ground running he was crowned UAE Championship Cadet Champion in both 2004 and 2005. Jones collected further championship titles in Dubai and European Karting before graduating into single seaters in 2011 when he raced for Fortec Motorsport. In the years that followed, Jones collected an impressive roster of podiums, pole positions and fastest laps before moving to Indy Lights in 2015, the known feeder series for the IndyCar series. Together with Carlin Motorsport, he put together an impressive campaign that saw him crowned 2016 Indy Lights Champion.

Graduating to IndyCar in 2017, Ed's talents immediately impressed as he scored 4 Pole Positions, 6 Podiums and 5 Lap Records in his debut season, alongside a 3rd place finish in the 101st Running of the Indianapolis 500. His feats earning him IndyCar Rookie of the Year accolade. He has since raced in 4 seasons of the series with Chip Ganassi Racing and Ed Carpenter Racing Scuderia Corsa.

Ed did not return to the grid in 2020 as a stroke of bad luck his plans to run in the DTM touring car series in Germany fell apart due to Covid-19. The 2021 season saw him make his return to the IndyCar series returning to the team that gave him his debut – Dale Coyne Racing.

The British Driver starts his 2022 campaign driving this weekend (27-30 January 2022) in the Rolex 24 at Daytona with G-Drive. Ed will pilot the teams ORECA 07 LMP2 on its maiden appearance with fellow teammates Rene Rast, Francois Heriau and Oliver Rasmussen. The twice around the clock race at the legendary Daytona International Speedway in Florida kick starts Ed's 2022 season, with his rest of season plans to be announced shortly.
