Charlie Eastwood

Since taking his first major international karting title at the 2012 Rotax World Finals, Charlie’s racing resume has grown to a catalogue of success. Further collecting 2 titles in his final year of karting (2013 Rotax European Championship, 2013 Florida Winter Tour Championship) and crowned vice champion in the 2013 Pan American Challenge, Charlie was awarded the accolade of Belfast’s Junior Sports Personality of the Year.

Graduating to single-seaters in 2014, he contested BRDC F4 Championship, earning two podiums in his debut season. Before tackling the Toyota Racing Series in 2015, where he finished second in the New Zealand Grand Prix.

Making the switch to GT racing, Charlie’s supreme talents were recognised when he was awarded Porsche Carrera Cup GB scholarship for 2016/17. Propelling his sportscar career, Charlie was crowned Porsche Carrera Cup GB Rookie Champion in 2016, before returning to take the overall title in 2017.

2018 season saw Charlie make the step up to the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup and the FIA World Endurance Championship Super Season with TF Sport. Scoring three second place finishes at the 6 Hours of Spa, Silverstone and Fuji. Before tackling the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June, Charlie made his first foray into a 24 hour event, scoring a podium at 24h Nürburgring.

Returning to the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup in 2019 with the Oman Racing with TF Sport team, Charlie and his teammates claimed the Pro-Am Championship, with victory in the 24 Hours of Spa, five podiums and three pole positions to their campaign.

In December 2019, Charlie achieved a lifetime goal, signing as a factory driver with Aston Martin Racing. Missing out on the overall International GT Open title but just two points, Charlie ended his first season with the iconic manufacturer runner up with 3 race wins and 5 further podium finishes.

Continuing this momentum into 2020, Charlie charged to victory at the gruelling 24 Hours of Le Mans. In taking victory he became the first Northern Irishman to do so in over a decade. Compounded with a strong World Endurance Championship season, Charlie along with his team-mates ended the season vice-champions, taking a further three victories and another podium finish along the way.

Moving into 2021, Charlie expanded his racing prowess into racing prototypes, contesting the LMP2 category with Racing Team Turkey and TF Sport. Alongside guest entries in GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup, Intercontinental GT Open and British GT3, where he enjoyed a series of podiums and victories.

In 2022 Charlie rejoined the European Le Mans series (ELMS) paddock competing in LMP2 machinery with TF Sport for a second year, as part of his wider Aston Martin factory driver role. Charlie was also announced as an official Mercedes AMG-F1 Simulator driver, supporting the Formula 1 team.

Continuing his partnership with TF Sport as an Aston Martin factory driver Charlie will be competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship GTE-AM for 2023 and ELMS
