Despite his young age, Yevan has already been breaking records on his rise to the top, becoming the first Sri Lankan driver to win a European heat.
Born in Romford, East London (UK) to Sri Lankan parents, Yevan moved to Singapore aged 4. Getting his first taste of karting just a year later, Yevan began competitively at 8 in various Asian championships and by 10 was crowned 2017 IAME Asia Cadet Champion, a titled he retained in 2018.
Showing no signs of slowing down, his on track efforts were awarded with tickets to the IAME and ROK finals in 2017, and again in 2018. Graduating to the more powerful Rotax machinery for 2019, Yevan’s talent again shone through as he rose victorious, finishing the year Rotaxmax Asia Junior Vice Champion.
In 2021, at the tender age of 13, the youngster moved to Europe, without his family, to pursue his dream of one day being the first Sri Lankan World Champion in Formula 1.
This year Yevan will be competing in the OKJ categories of WSK and FIA CIK European championships with Forza Racing. In which Yevan has wasted no time in proving his worth, consistently beating drivers from the prestigious Mercedes and Sauber F1 Academies.
