First stepping into a kart in his native Mexico, Sebastian has forged an impressive karting career. Winning his first title in 2011 in Super Karts Cup México (Cadet Class), the talented young racer moved to contest in SKUSA SuperNationals XVII (TaG Cadet) and Florida Winter Tour Rotax Mini Max events. Claiming victory in the Florida Winter Tour Rotax Mini Max in 2015.
Moving to Europe, Sebastian grew in speed and ability, holding his own in the fiercely competitive CIK-FIA and WSK championships.
2018 saw Sebastian make the transition to single-seaters, teaming up with Double R Racing for FIA Formula 4, the Mexican driver impressed with a series of consistent results and growing ability. Celebrating two rookie podiums, twelve top-10 finishes and a pole position in his first year in car racing.
With experience gained, Sebastian returned in 2019, a title contender from the very beginning. With sensational form, he claimed five wins, 19 podiums and three pole positions, but an unfortunate turn of luck with a DNF in the final race saw him narrowly miss out on the title.
Sebastian had been due to remain with the Double R Racing team in 2020 to make the step up to BRDC Formula 3 Championship. However due to the Coronavirus pandemic he was forced to withdraw from the campaign and took part in no racing in 2020.
Making the step up in 2021 to the renamed GB3 Championship with Hitech GP, Sebastian ran a consistent top-10 campaign. His talent was clear to see when he scored his maiden victory at Snetterton, with a further podium at Silverstone, in only his rookie season in Formula 3 machinery.
This year, following his step up to LMP3 machinery in the winter 2022 Asian Le Mans Series, where he celebrated victory at the 4 Hours of Abu Dhabi. Seb joins the ELMS paddock for his debut season of LMP3 endurance racing with DKR Engineering.
